Abdul El-Sayed won the Michigan Democratic Senate primary, defeating Rep.  Haley Stevens with approximately 48.5% of the vote to her 47.5%.  In Wisconsin, David Crowley secured the Democratic nomination for governor, while in Minnesota, Lisa Demuth won the Republican gubernatorial primary by defeating Trump-backed candidate Mike Lindell, and Peggy Flanagan claimed the Democratic Senate nomination. 

State-by-State Highlights:

• Virginia: Incumbents Jennifer Kiggans (R) and Robert Scott (D) won their respective House primaries. 
• New York: Primaries held on June 23 saw incumbents Thomas Suozzi and Laura Gillen advance. 
• Pennsylvania: Governor Josh Shapiro (D) and Stacy Garrity (R) won their party nominations on May 19. 
• Vermont: Economist Amanda Janoo won the Democratic primary for governor.

These results are part of the broader 2026 midterm election cycle, with key primaries occurring throughout the spring and summer, culminating in major contests on August 4 and August 12, 2026. 

Major Gubernatorial Upsets

Wisconsin: In a stunning reversal, David Crowley (Milwaukee County Executive) defeated the progressive frontrunner Francesca Hong for the Democratic nomination.  Crowley, who had previously dropped out of the race before re-entering with outgoing Governor Tony Evers’ endorsement, won with approximately 39.8% of the vote to Hong’s 39.4%.  He will face Republican incumbent Tom Tiffany in November.

Minnesota: Lisa Demuth, the state House Speaker, secured the Republican gubernatorial nomination, defeating Mike Lindell (endorsed by President Trump) and Kendall Qualls (endorsed by the state GOP).  Demuth took 43.4% of the vote, while Lindell finished second with 32.5%.  On the Democratic side, Senator Amy Klobuchar won the nomination uncontested, setting up a historic all-woman general election. 

AOC, just like Francesca hong – dismissing her own remarks about defunding the police… trying to re-brand her own insanity as “Woke One” – as in woke one point oh – like we were all crazy back then.  NO, we weren’t.  The chinavirus revealed the true hearts of the democrats.  Where they really stand, and exactly how they would behave toward all of us in the event of what they either believed as or certainly tried to convince the rest of us was an existential threat.  Of course, on the patriot side – we all saw through it – we refused to take their poison dart vaccines – and we refused to accept the fakenews lie that Joe Biden won 2020 just like we refuse – or should be refusing now to accept the fake poll results.

Stabbing suspect accused of butchering retiree outside his Bay Area home unmasked as illegal migrant

The stabbing suspect arrested for allegedly butchering an elderly man to death outside his Bay Area home a day after being released from jail has been identified as an illegal migrant from Venezuela.

Marcos Iriarte-Valdez, 36—whose full legal name was identified by federal authorities as Marcos Eduardo Iriarte Valdezusper, a criminal alien who also holds citizenship in Spain—is accused of fatally stabbing Todd Stewart, 68, on the front lawn of the retiree’s Martinez home last week, with surveillance footage capturing the horrifying attack.

On Tuesday, the Department of Homeland Security revealed that Iriarte-Valdez is a “Venezuelan illegal alien” who committed the alleged crime “in sanctuary California.”

“[Governor Gavin Newsom] must NOT RELEASE this murderer from jail and turn him over to us so we can REMOVE him from our nation,” the department posted on X.

“Sanctuary politicians must stop putting politics above public safety,” DHS told The California Post. “This type of insanity leads to more crimes and more innocent victims.”

A Texas conservative activist is suing the Houston Independent School District after the school board removed her from a meeting for reading sexually explicit passages from a book available in the district’s school libraries.

Bonnie Wallace, who lives in the Texas Hill Country, has attended multiple school board meetings to show trustees that books containing sexually explicit material are available in their school libraries and should be removed.

During a March 2026 Houston ISD school board meeting, Wallace addressed the board during public comment and said she would be reading from a book currently available to students in the district.

Wallace began reading verbatim from “A Court of Silver Flames,” a Sarah J. Maas fantasy romance novel filled with sexually explicit content. Trustees issued multiple warnings as she continued reading the book.

Trustees Remove Wallace From Meeting

After Wallace continued reading despite warnings from trustees, three police officers escorted her from the meeting.

“[Trustee Angela Lemond Flowers] said you can’t read anything inappropriate,” Wallace told the Daily Signal.

During the exchange, which was posted on X, Lemond Flowers can be heard telling Wallace that she was “not allowed to read things that are not appropriate.”

Wallace responded, “Then why are they in your schools?”

‘Perversion’: Christian-owned women’s nude spa forced to cater to men, now Supreme Court may put hands on case

‘No woman or girl should have to give up her right to bodily privacy and safety to avoid offending a man. That’s wrong, and it puts women and girls in harm’s way’

It’s being called a “perversion of public accommodation laws” and now it’s pending before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Lawyers with two public interest legal teams have asked the high court to step in and correct a lower court’s decision that ordered a Christian-owned, family-run Korean spa that administers traditional treatments, in the nude, to women and girls as young as 13 to open its doors to men.

A man who says he’s a woman wants to participate.

“It is an abuse and perversion of the public accommodation laws to give biological males access to the intimate spaces of unconsenting females in a state of full or partial undress. No woman or girl should have to give up her right to bodily privacy and safety to avoid offending a man. That’s wrong, and it puts women and girls in harm’s way,” said Kevin Snider of Pacific Justice Insttitue.

And John Bursch, of the ADF, added, “Based on a single complaint by a male who may never even have visited the spa, Washington state decided its views on gender identity must override a centuries-old cultural practice and deep religious conviction, turning its enforcement power against a Korean family’s small business.”

He said the Washington state agency that ordered the violation of females’ privacy rights actively is compromising not only religious beliefs but the safety of women and girls.

The legal teams, in an announcement, explained, the traditional treatments:

Sun Lee and his family own Olympus Spa, which offers traditional jjimjilbang treatments rooted in centuries of Korean culture: communal steam rooms, warm soaking pools, and the ancient practice of seshin, a full-body scrub performed by employees called ddemiri in an open communal space where all patrons are fully nude. Because nudity is not incidental but central to the services the spa provides, and because the spa’s owners hold sincere Christian convictions that men and women should not be unclothed together outside of marriage, Olympus Spa has always admitted only female patrons and hires only female employees.

Then a man demanded to join, and when denied permission, complained to the Washington state Human Rights Commission, demanding access to facilities where girls as young as 13 were fully nude.

Officials in Washington state claimed the spa was violating their “public accommodation” laws.

“A family of Christian immigrants—who fled Korea hoping for greater religious freedom—now stand to lose their livelihood or the ability to practice their faith because the State of Washington insists on dictating that males who identify as women be admitted into a female-only nude spa,” the petition filed with the Supreme Court in Olympus Spa v. Armstrong explains.
