FakeNews Trends: Dissenter’s Collapse Indicative Of Gab’s Collapse

WATCH: Dissenter has dropped all pretense of its mission of “people-powered news”, likely because its inaugural mission was dependent on people using Gab. Once the promising first-mover in the free-speech social network arena, Gab has effectively been taken out by other competing platforms, largely because its founder Andy Torba mismanaged what could have been a great platform. President Trump’s Truth Social, as well as GETTR are probably chiefly responsible for taking most of Gab’s former users, and just this past year, Torba has effectively gutted the “people powered” trends.gab.com, which became Dissenter, of any organic story selection based on pure popularity; and now it’s become basically a Trump hating site. Why? Because Andy Torba is angry that the President has a better platform. Which isn’t saying much because Truth Social really isn’t even that technologically advanced.
