ACLU’s Deceptive Ohio Ballot Initiative would Violate Parental Rights in Decisions over their Child’s Health
Touted as an “abortion rights” bill, details indicate real agenda
Washington, D.C. – Today, Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC), the nation’s largest ’public policy women’s organization, warns Ohio voters of a dangerous amendment drafted for the November 2023 ballot which would completely eradicate parental rights, erase gender distinctions, and remove parental involvement in their children’s health as well as overturn Ohio’s Heartbeat Bill that prevents late term abortions.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) drafted the proposal that would amend Article I of the Ohio Constitution by adding Section 22, titled “The Right to Reproductive Freedom with Protections for Health and Safety.” Ohioans United for Reproductive Rights, a radical abortion coalition formed by the ACLU, filed more than 700,000 signatures which the Secretary of State certified today for the November 7 election ballot.
Not only would this amendment outlaw almost all restrictions on abortion, but the language intentionally broadens the scope of “reproductive rights” to include sex change surgeries and all other reproduction-related procedures. This bill would erase gender distinction, ensuring reproductive healthcare rights to “all individuals” rather than just women. Lastly, this bill would completely strike down parental-consent laws and parental notification rights, allowing minors to receive sex change and abortion procedures without the knowledge of their parents.
“The ACLU is attempting to trick voters by touting this as an abortion rights amendment when the details indicate it is a power grab for our children,” said Penny Nance, CEO and President of CWALAC. “The radical repercussions of this bill would go much farther than can be imagined in allowing the state, not the parents, to raise children, which gives an eerily familiar ring to the philosophies of Karl Marx, who advocated the ‘destruction, dissolution, and abolition of the family’ and called for children to be educated by the state and not by their parents.”
The ACLU recently advocated for New Hampshire parents to lose the right to parent their child once they enter a public school. They fought against a bill in Wyoming that would prohibit instructing young children about sexual orientation and gender identity. Back in 2016, the ACLU vigorously contested parental notification laws in Alaska. Additionally, the ACLU opposes school transparency laws, which help parents stay informed on what their children are learning in schools.
“Sadly, the ACLU has gone far afield of advocating for civil rights. The only rights they seem to support are those of the state and government to control the lives of Americans, and they are starting with our children,” said Nance. “CWALAC urges all Ohioans to fight against this radical agenda in November!”

Sen. Marsha Blackburn secures GOP nomination for Tenn. Governor
In Middle Tennessee’s 5th Congressional District, Hatcher pulled off a significant victory over incumbent Ogles. Hatcher, a livestock veterinarian who served as Tennessee’s Agriculture Commissioner from 2019 to 2025, labeled his candidacy around practical legislative execution, famously framing the race as a choice between a “workhorse and a show horse.”

Trump-Backed Rep Andy Ogles Loses Tennessee GOP Primary in Upset
Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN), one of the House Republican Conference’s most conservative members, lost his re-election bid Thursday night in a surprise primary defeat to former Tennessee Agriculture Commissioner Charlie Hatcher.
With most ballots counted, Hatcher received approximately 53.2% of the vote to Ogles’ 46.8%, giving the challenger a roughly six-point victory.
The Associated Press and other election forecasters called the race for Hatcher approximately three hours after polls closed.
The result came despite Ogles receiving the endorsement of President Donald Trump and support from several prominent Republican figures.

Dueling Court Orders Create ‘Men’s Prison Within A Women’s Federal Prison’
Male inmates claiming to be females are seeking full integration with women.
ueling court orders regarding men who claim to be women serving time in federal prison have resulted the Department of Justice creating a sex-segregated wing in a women’s prison to house the men.
The Justice Department, through the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is seeking to transfer every male inmate claiming to be female in the country to one female-only prison — Federal Medical Center (FMC) Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas — after one federal judge blocked an executive order to remove “trans”-identifying men from female prisons, and another federal judge ordered those men to be segregated from the women.
Red Dawn Hong can’t get her story straight on Thanksgiving. She’s walking back her statements that Thanksgiving should be cancelled – and she’s poised to take over the Wisconsin Democrat party. Even the Democrats are backing off.

Oregon arsonist
The phrase “fire is powerful, beautiful, and that things that go through fire experience a kind of rebirth” was stated by Aaron Farinacci, a 37-year-old suspect arrested in Spokane, Washington (not Oregon), regarding the Old Trails Fire. Farinacci confessed to detectives that he planned the blaze, which destroyed hundreds of homes, for two weeks in advance, researching weather conditions to maximize wind and heat. While the search context includes unrelated arson cases in Oregon (such as at Blue Heron Paper Company or Oshkosh Defense), the specific “rebirth” quote and the details of the extensive wildfire planning are exclusively attributed to Farinacci’s case in Washington. Farinacci is currently facing multiple counts of first-degree arson with a bond set at $2 million.
Mamdani Gets Nailed With New Nickname After Blistering Report About How ‘Thin-Skinned’ He Is
That permanent smile on the face of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani during interviews always looks like it’s pasted on. Perhaps he thinks that if he’s smiling, you won’t look too closely at the problematic things he’s saying and doing. Unfortunately, we’re still seeing it all.

Coca Cola Bans Jesus and MAGA
The War on Truth, Smithsonian Edition
When a people forgets where they came from, they forget who they are. But America’s largest institution charged with preserving and sharing our history has been captured by an anti-American ideology that is lying to busloads of school children and international tourists for the sake of a corrosive political agenda. Now that it’s all finally being exposed, it is critical that it be restored to its founding purpose.
Founded by the government in 1846, the Smithsonian Institution was meant to be an “establishment for the increase and diffusion of knowledge among men,” written in the will of its namesake donor, James Smithson. To that end, the Smithsonian now oversees 21 museums, 21 libraries, 14 education and research centers, and even a zoo. Many of those museums (and the zoo) are a highlight of any trip to Washington, D.C., because, unlike similar establishments across the country, they are free thanks to the $1 billion in taxpayer funding it receives each year. So, it is reasonable for Americans to expect that these museums are, in fact, increasing and sharing knowledge about science, innovation, and, most importantly, our own nation’s history, without political biases.
But for many years, that is not what has been happening, particularly at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. When this particular installment in the Smithsonian’s collection was approved by Congress in the 1950s, its stated goal was “[t]o place before millions who visit the Nation’s Capital each year a stimulating permanent exposition that commemorates our heritage of freedom and highlights the basic elements of our way of life.” President Lyndon B. Johnson, in his speech inaugurating the museum, expressed his hope that “there will come to this building the children of the nation. For here is recorded … the agony and the sweat of the human spirit, the victory of freedom and genius of our country.” In short, this museum was meant to be a celebration of America’s roots and all it has accomplished.
On July 4th of this year, America’s 250th birthday, the White House published a lengthy report exposing just how the American History museum is anything but a source of patriotism. At the largest museum dedicated to the nation’s history, there is not a single exhibit dedicated to George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, other Founders, or any of the critical events of the American Revolution. Bejamin Franklin is only named through his connection to slavery, with one exhibit claiming that he “chose to take advantage of that system [slavery]” to make his many scientific accomplishments. Alexander Hamilton is mentioned only in connection to the Broadway musical named after him, which is about “an influential and flawed founding father.”
The role of Christianity to the Founding is reduced to being a tool for conquest and cultural erasure, not the fundamental belief system that inspired the very idea of all men being created equal. The Christian Pilgrims are framed not as voyagers fleeing religious persecution, but as colonizers. And the first Thanksgiving, held to celebrate God’s provision and the Pilgrims’ partnership with the Wampanoag tribe, is reframed as a “National Day of Mourning.”
Not only does the museum not tell America’s story accurately, but it also uses its platform to push radical ideology. In the museum’s Girlhood exhibit, the singular example of a girl is Jazz Jennings, a male who “transitioned” to female as a child. The goal of the exhibit is to teach that gender is fluid, and that the fight for equality throughout American history includes the rights of those who do not “conform” to normal (i.e., biologically accurate) gender stereotypes. There’s also an exhibit on “trans non-binary” skateboarder Leo Baker, which features the chest binder that she wore to make herself appear more masculine. Another display, called “Not Checking the Boxes,” teaches that “sometimes, gender isn’t revealed at birth,” and that it is a deeply felt inner sense of one’s identity rather than something based on biology.
Where the museum should be celebrating the accomplishments of American women and girls, it is instead teaching that young girls should view themselves as foot soldiers in a “long legacy of activism.” It does this through exhibits that portray homemaking as oppressive, interactive prompts designed to promote “bodily autonomy” (i.e. the so-called right to abortion), and educational materials that promote defying parents and other authority figures in the name of breaking from America’s “oppressive” past.
But this is not new behavior from the Smithsonian, nor is it isolated to the American History Museum. When the African American History Museum first opened in 2016, many people pointed out the glaring exclusion of Clarence Thomas, one of only two African Americans to serve on the Supreme Court. In 2020, the Museum unveiled a chart titled “Aspects and Assumptions of Whiteness in the United States.” On that chart, hard work, punctuality, objective thinking, and valuing the nuclear family were all listed as characteristics of “whiteness.”
The National Museum of the American Indian frames America’s founding as fundamentally oppressive. The Nation to Nation exhibit’s introductory video begins by stating that the story of the U.S. and Native American Indian nations is a story about “the rise of a new great nation at the sacrifice of hundreds of others.”
None of this comes as a surprise when we look at statements made by one of the Smithsonian’s top officials, the Director of the American History Museum, Dr. Anthea Hartig. She has explicitly stated that she sees history as a “prime tool for social justice,” and that “we work to reframe the traditional celebratory narrative of U.S. history for visitors.”
It makes sense that someone who can so blatantly rewrite the story of America would have no qualms about lying to Congress. In July, Dr. Hartig appeared before two separate House committees to answer questions about the misinformation and blatant ideological propaganda being peddled by the taxpayer-funded museums. At one point, she was asked about the Girlhood exhibit, the one that features a female-identifying male child, and the pages of a six-year old’s diary with entries that expressed her fear of “getting boobs” and wishing for her nonexistent “penis to grow.” Dr. Hartig claimed that this exhibit was not designed for children. However, in a video announcing the launch of the exhibit, Dr. Hartig welcomes “boys and girls” to visit.
Those who hate the values that America represents understand that the most effective way to wage war on those values is to teach the next generation that they are evil and not worthy of defending. That’s why what is happening at the Smithsonian matters – every generation has an obligation to teach the one that follows why America has been a great force for good in world history.
To that end, President Trump signed an executive order to remove race- and gender-based ideological content from federal historical institutions, such as the Smithsonian. Sen. Jim Banks (R-Indiana) has introduced the Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History Act, which would codify that executive order. And in response to the report on the American History Museum, the White House has ordered that temporary signage be placed pointing out the inaccuracies of many of the museum’s exhibits.
At a time when communist and Islamist ideologies are taking root in America, we need institutions like the Smithsonian engaged in the battle against lies, rather than waging its own war against the truth.
WNBA Must Adopt Policy to Protect Fairness in Sport Based on Sex, Says CWALAC
For Immediate Release: July 31, 2026 | Contact: [email protected]
WASHINGTON, DC – Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC) is calling on the WNBA to adopt a policy that clarifies only biological women can play basketball in the WNBA.
“To avoid further chaos, bias, and potential harm against WNBA players, the WNBA should immediately adopt a policy that establishes only biological women can play basketball in the league. The WNBA needs to look in the mirror and do some soul-searching about what it stands for – fairness in women’s sports or not?” said Penny Nance, CEO and President, Concerned Women for America LAC.
“Activism in the WNBA has poisoned the league for years. A new generation of athletes is being inspired by the courage of Sophie Cunningham. It’s time for the WNBA to defend them, not the activism that defends biological males stealing their opportunities.
“It is an outrage that two young girls attending a WNBA game were subjected to intense harassment by a WNBA team owner for their support of fairness in women’s sports. While that owner has been fined and suspended for five games, that will not prevent further harassment of fans or players. The WNBA must now clarify its position on sex-based eligibility in women’s basketball, establish that the WNBA stands behind biological female players, and ensure that it will not subject any players or fans to viewpoint discrimination.
“We applaud Sophie Cunningham for her courage in standing up for girls and women in sport. She is unafraid to say what everyone is thinking and completely in tune with the spirit of sport. The WNBA must do the same.
“CWALAC applauds Congresswoman Claudia Tenney’s ‘No Goodwill for Harming Women Act’ proposing financial penalties for professional franchises allowing biological men in women’s sports. CWALAC has championed the ‘Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act’ and the ‘Protection of Women in Olympic and Amateur Sports Act’ for years. With midterms underway, candidates must support biological female athletes – the issue is not going away, and will not disappear until females are fully protected,” said Nance.
