One of the former counter girls of Mike’s Place tells America’s Man’s Man that the Azeem brothers are fleeing to their home country to avoid collections calls from employees, vendors, and the landlord.

Adnan Azeem, Owner And Assistant Manager Of Mike’s Place, Brother Of Javed “Muhammed,” Co-Owner And Manager, Is Fleeing To Pakistan According To Vittoria, A Counter Girl At The Time Mike’s Place Closed

Vittoria says Javed “Muhammed,” as his name appears on Massachusetts Filings, is already back in his home country of Pakistan, and his brother Adnan is set to leave in about a day.

The reason, Vittoria says, is that Javed doesn’t want to pay her or the other employees.

But who are the “previous owners” referred to, whom Adnan texts that he is having problems with? Is he talking about the Greek store namesake and founder Mike Parianos, or is he talking about a mysterious “Muhammad” whom Vittoria says is trying to re-open the restaurant?

Attorney George Sibley specializes in collections. He says he’s representing a company attempting to collect cash due his clients who provided services to Mike’s Place during the time it was operated by Adnan Azeem and Javed “Muhammad.”

He is not aware of any other Muhammad’s connected with the ownership or operations of Mike’s Place at the time of publishing.

Multiple employees report not getting paid. Javed “Muhammad” told one employee to leave as Vittoria and her sister helped Javed move food out the door days after it closed. A lone food cart remains outside the back door as of this publishing 11/26/19, illustrating the haste the brothers made to leave.

A Possible Comeback

Vittoria says there’s another Muhammaad who was paying brothers Adnan and Javed to manage the Gloucester Mike’s Place, however America’s Man’s Man cannot confirm the existence of the other Muhammad, or whether there was a third manager. Adnan and Javed did say that they are involved with another restaurant in the Boston area. Vittoria says the other Muhammad is also Islamic and also Pakistani by birth and blood.

At the moment, Adnan continues to reside around the corner from Mike’s Place on Prospect Street.

Vittoria says she would imagine the store probably smells from the food rotting inside. It should be noted that Vittoria said she and her sister were actually working for a competing restaurant when she caught up with us just outside Mike’s.
