Top 40 meets NewsTalk and YouTube in a production piece of art praised by both liberals and conservatives, blacks and whites. In The Ballad of Harley Barber, the number one contentedness creator who helped put PewTube in the crosshairs of CNN brings together all the elements of a viral video in a rousing commentary with a primal premise that flies over the head of elitist white liberals. There are so many layers of meaning to uncover, and it’s easy on the eyes.
For your viewing pleasure, the AMM team has created both a Censored Version and an Uncensored Version. However, as a caution to church audiences, the images contained within are definitely offensive in both versions. If anyone wants to upload an MP3 so you can listen to it without watching, I might link to it.
Frankly, I’m not old enough to watch this video. You’ve been warned. It’s really intended for secular audience, and was a kind of production exercise for me personally. But sometimes you have to push yourself as an artist to the “edge of the human experience.” Not sure if I found it here, but it was an early attempt in combining Top 40 with NewsTalk, as a former talk radio producer at the best of the best.
