Social Media Security: DON’T TRUST PARLER

Hi, I’m not being paid to say this, but there is one clear social media choice when it comes to true ownership of the content you produce. That choice is GAB. This is the reason that all the FakeNews, and all Silicon Valley wants to shut down Gab.

I have long suspected this, because the Apple (FAANG member) iTunes Store has long blocked only Gab from its store. It blocked Parler for a while, but Parler has sucked up to the right people at Apple and managed to kowtow itself back into Tim Cook’s awful graces.

I know from my extensive knowledge and networks of international relations that when you accept a gift from someone, financial or otherwise, it always has strings attached. Parler’s affiliations with Apple have major, major strings attached.

Need proof of Gab’s lack of interest in owning your content or controlling it? Gab is making their source code totally open and available to the general public.

Could you imagine Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Dorsey, or Google corporate handing over all their source code and telling you, “Go and start your own Google, and make it better.” Or – “go and start your own Youtube.” Or “Go and start your own facebook, and make it even better – and your users can even interact with those on my platform via yours.” Absolutely not.

Gab, while sometimes clunky, is committed to your ownership of your content. And they’re so against shadow-banning that they literally give you the keys to literally start your own Gab. Granted, it takes a relatively small chunk of change to actually start your own server, and hire a tech guy to maintain your server and your own social network. But relatively, it’s actually cheap as mud. Andy Torba’s Gab gives you the keys, and all but sits you in the driver’s seat to actually start a competing social network you have complete control over, including whether you want it to interact with the original Gab or not. That takes balls – but furthermore, it is the way of the future, and epitomizes the closest thing to free market economic capitalism — and open source idealism – that the internet has to offer. The Silicon Curtain is being torn by Gab.

Bottom line? Trust Gab. On top of all this, I know the movers and shakers in the industry, and I have it on good authority that there are snakes at Parler – the same snakes running with the FAANG companies.

So – don’t accept any cheap imitations when it comes to free speech anti-social media. Remember that Facebook, too, started as a fake platform for free expression that Mark Zuckerberg later turned into the FakeNews on steroids – after so many saw Web 2.0’s potential for democratizing, or republicanizing, rather, the Internet.

And if you have the money to invest, ask me about going in on a new social network for America’s Man’s Man. It’s cheaper than you may think, but it’s the future of the internet.

No wonder the FAANG companies are running scared. I’m serious. Let’s invest in a social network for people who aren’t communist, built on the Gab platform. I’ve got the tools to make it happen, so help me out here, and we will lead America out of the darkness together.
