MA Citizens For Life Alerts Trouble if Bills Pass Committee (earlier today)

WE NEED YOU TODAY
TODAY, a bill that would require our public university health centers to become abortion mills goes before the Joint Committee on Public Health.
TODAY, another bill, perversely entitled “An Act advancing the health of pregnant persons,” would do even more harm than would the ROE Act!

ROOM B-1
Find the full details on the bills below
1) Bill H.3841, “An Act to require public universities to provide medication abortion,” mandates that “on and after January 1, 2022, each public university health center shall offer medical abortions to patients.” Medical, as opposed to surgical, abortions represent the future of abortion, with the false promise of a simple pill to make one’s problems go away. In reality, it is as gruesome as any surgical abortion, and even more dangerous. Read the text of the bill here: https://malegislature.gov/Bills/191/H3841
2) And Bill S.1335 is even more dangerous than S.1209, the ROE Act!
1 a) Much of the text is devoted to requiring every possible form of health coverage in the state to include “abortion and abortion-related care.”
2 b) But the heart of the legislation is a rewriting of the current abortion code as the
3 Pregnant Persons’ Health Act.” All distinction between early- and late-term abortion (centered on the 24-week marker) is eliminated. The only hedge on abortion would be “generally accepted standards of care or otherwise medically appropriate treatment”—as if doctors are all so incorruptible as not to need the boundaries of law to ensure ethical and humane behavior.
4 c) It also explicitly eliminates any requirement that abortions, no matter how late-term, be performed in hospitals.
This is a bill that abandons women’s health to the predatory abortion business giants, those who profiteer off of killing the most powerless humans.
The text can be read here: https://malegislature.gov/Bills/191/S1335.
IF you cannot, however, get to the State House in person, please both call the Joint Committee on Public Health and submit written testimony to the following legislators.
