BREAKING: Fatal Shooting Suspect On The Lam From Northeastern Wisconsin Mall, Likely Since Before Police Arrived
WISCONSIN – The suspect in a Sunday afternoon shooting that left one dead and one injured at a mall southwest of Green Bay is on the run. Update: Suspect Identified
It’s unclear from early police reports given at a media staging area – you know, for the FakeNews – whether the suspect is a danger to the public. Update: Suspect Armed And Dangerous
Shoppers and employees at the Fox River Mall evacuated in a slow trickle with hands raised, some after more than three hours of sheltering in place.
The shooting is said to have occurred in the Food Court near Rocky Rococo at around 3:30p.m. Sunday.
Police escorted pedestrian shoppers onto municipal busses as they made their way out of the mall, through a thick presence of authorities in camo and at least 50 flashing vehicles, all of them having tried their darndest to blockade the suspect inside. Frustration wore on the State Police and local police alike, all of them seeming to sense that their suspect had evaded them as the late afternoon, then evening wore on.
However, authorities continued to stick it out and conduct a thorough and persistent sweep of the property and perimeter to ensure the safety of those inside, wrapping up by about their intended target time of 9p.m. Detectives continue to interview witnesses but have not released any details about the suspect as of this writing.
The Fox River Mall is located in a suburb of Appleton, Wisconsin called Grand Chute.
